Salford Loaves and Fishes is a registered charity governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees who bring a wide range of professional skills, experience and expertise to support the organisation. Together, they help ensure the charity remains sustainable, accountable and responsive to the needs of our community.
Our trustees provide strategic leadership, oversee the charity's finances and governance, and help guide the future development of our services. Working alongside members, volunteers and staff, they play a vital role in helping us deliver our mission and support people across Salford.

Salford Loaves and Fishes Ltd is governed by a Board of Trustees who are legally responsible for the charity and its activities. The Board helps ensure that the organisation is well managed, financially secure and focused on delivering positive outcomes for the people and communities we serve.
Our trustees volunteer their time and expertise, bringing experience from a variety of professional backgrounds to support the charity's continued growth and development.

Membership of Salford Loaves and Fishes is open to both individuals and organisations.
Members play an important role in the governance of the charity by attending Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and voting on key matters affecting the organisation, including the election of Trustees and the Chair of the Board.

Our Board of Trustees is responsible for the strategic direction and financial stewardship of Salford Loaves and Fishes. Trustees are legally accountable for the organisation and help ensure we continue to meet the needs of our community.
We welcome applications from individuals with a range of skills and professional backgrounds. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in legal services or financial accounting, although applicants from all sectors and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
As a charity supporting vulnerable adults, all trustee appointments are subject to a DBS check.
What to Expect
All trustee roles are voluntary and unpaid.
The Board meets six times a year, with additional meetings held when required.
Optional working groups provide opportunities to support specific projects and initiatives.
Meetings are held in a hybrid format, allowing trustees to attend either in person or online.
