What We Do

We provide practical support for people facing hardship while creating opportunities to build confidence, independence and connection. Our open-door approach means anyone who needs help is welcome.

Food, support, skills and community

Salford Loaves and Fishes provides practical support for people in Salford who need help.

We operate from two centres at 1 and 3 Paddington Close: a Drop-in Centre and a Skills for Life Centre. Together, these spaces allow us to support immediate needs while helping people build confidence, skills and stability.

Our Drop-in Centre provides food, hot drinks, practical facilities, advice and support. Our Skills for Life Centre offers activities, training and opportunities to learn, connect and move forward.

We support people through an open-door approach, working with partner organisations to provide joined-up help in one welcoming place.

Our approach

We understand that people may come to us for one immediate reason, such as a meal, shower or help with clothing. Over time, regular contact can lead to deeper support, including advice, partner appointments, classes, activities and confidence-building opportunities.

Our support is person-centred, practical and compassionate. We meet people where they are and help them take the next step at their own pace.
